Drever
Drever is an agile, loyal and playful dog breed originating from Sweden. These dogs are also called Swedish Dachsbracke. Although they are best suited for houses with a yard where they can snoop around they can also adapt to apartment living if you provide them with enough daily activities.
Drever is an alert and loyal dog who will follow you everywhere you go. This dog should never be aggressive or shy.

Grooming
Drever has a short and thick coat that is fairly easy to groom. Weekly brushing will be enough to keep the hair under control.

The rest is basic care. Like any other dog, Drever will also require regular teeth cleaning and bathing. Weekly check their ears for any sign of infection or bad odor which can indicate an infection. Their nails need to be trimmed if you hear them clicking on the floor.
Exercise
Drever dogs are medium active and they will need a proper amount of daily activities to be happy. Playing with his owner in the house, chasing the ball, or just long walks can all do the trick and keep this dog satisfied. If you provide him with enough daily activities you don’t have to worry that your dog will miss behave.
Socialization
As with all other dogs, even Drever requires proper and early socialization in order to trust your dog. With correct socialization, your dog will learn how it’s supposed to behave in many different situations he may find himself in. The socialization process starts as soon as you bring your Drever puppy home. Expose him to many different situations, people, dogs, and sounds.
Drever and kids
Drever is best suited for a household with older kids who knows how to properly interact with the dog. Since these dogs are used for herding purposes don’t be surprised if Drever starts herding your kids. Because of that, it is advised that you never leave them alone while they are playing.
Before you let them play you should also teach your kids what is the correct way to approach, interact and play with the dog. That way you can be sure that your kids will respect the dog.
Drever and other animals
Drever generally can get along with other dogs if they are properly socialized and introduced from an early age. These dogs prefer to be solo pets in the house.
Health
Drever has a life expectancy of 13-15 years. They are generally healthy dogs but they can be prone to some health problems. These problems include:

- Entropion
